Integrations - proposal

neonatae. x MedQuestio

Opening page - updated 2026-05-31

neonatae. and MedQuestio solve two different problems for the same Italian primary-care pediatrician. They are not competitors, they are complementary. This page explains why, sketches how they could live together in the pediatrician's workflow, and formally states that we are open to discussing a technical integration.

What MedQuestio does

MedQuestio (HPR Digital Medicine s.r.l.) is an AI search engine for Italian general practitioners and primary-care pediatricians. The doctor types a clinical question and MedQuestio returns summaries based on articles validated by SIICP (Italian Interdisciplinary Society for Primary Care), processed with peer-review methodology.

Since July 2024 it has been embedded inside the CompuGroup Medical (CGM) software family: FPF, PROFIM, INFANTIA. The doctor opens MedQuestio directly from the clinical record without context switch. Think "Italian UpToDate, AI-first, specialised for primary care".

What neonatae. does

neonatae. is the structured communication channel between the Italian primary-care pediatrician and the families on their panel. The parent writes in chat, the AI assistant Neo collects the intake (age, symptoms, duration, age-stratified red flags) and hands the pediatrician a pre-structured summary.

The pediatrician opens the case already framed, replies, closes. Everything is logged in an append-only medical-legal audit log with 10-year retention. Regulatory posture: CE Class I with documented technical file (MDR Annex II + MDCG 2025-6).

Why they are complementary

The primary-care pediatrician has two distinct moments in the workflow:

  1. Case intake from the family (history, photos, symptom evolution). Needs a structured channel + an assistant that organises the data before the doctor steps in. This is the neonatae. problem.
  2. Clinical decision on the case (what to prescribe, when to refer to ER, which guideline applies). Needs a documentary assistant with validated evidence. This is the MedQuestio problem.

The two stacks do not overlap. neonatae. lives in the doctor-patient relationship; MedQuestio lives in the doctor-literature relationship. Two sides of the same job.

What an integration could look like

The minimal integration is a contextual deep link. When the pediatrician opens a message in neonatae. and Neo has already extracted symptoms/age/red flags, a button "Search evidence on MedQuestio" would pre-populate the MedQuestio query with the case context (e.g. "persistent cough + fever, 18-month old"). One click, the pediatrician lands in MedQuestio (in their CGM software or in browser), decides.

No transfer of patient-identifying data: only the structured clinical fields Neo already extracted, which the pediatrician can review before sending. GDPR-compatible by design.

Natural extension: bidirectional integration via CGM (FPF / PROFIM / INFANTIA), so the neonatae. case lands directly inside the clinical record. This requires technical collaboration with CGM as well as MedQuestio.

Current status

The integration is not live. This page is a public and formal opening: we state our interest, describe the complementarity, and invite MedQuestio (and CGM) to a technical conversation.

If you are a primary-care pediatrician who would like to use both tools integrated, write to us: evidence of pediatrician demand is the strongest signal we can bring to the table.
